Get a clear breakdown of the Basic Accessory Package for 22' shuffleboard tables—what's included, how each item helps, and whether this kit fits your needs.
Quick answer
The Basic Accessory Package for a 22' shuffleboard table bundles the essential supplies you need to start playing and protecting your table: shuffleboard wax/powder, silicone spray, a wipe/sweep, and a naugahyde cover. It's a practical starting point if you don't already own these items, but it lacks scoring equipment and premium wax.
What to expect from a basic kit
When you buy a shuffleboard table, the playing surface and cabinet are only part of the setup. You also need consumables like wax (sometimes called powder or sand) to reduce friction, a silicone spray to condition the surface, a wipe to clean and spread the wax, and a cover to keep dust off. The Basic Accessory Package covers all four without adding extras like a scoring unit, extra wax varieties, or a carrying case.
The trade-off is simplicity: you get one can of wax and one can of silicone spray, which is enough for several months of regular play, but you won't have a choice of wax speed or a dedicated storage solution. If you prefer to customize your playing feel or you already have a cover, this package may include items you don't need.
How to decide if this package is right for you
- You need basic consumables: If you're setting up a new shuffleboard table or restocking after running out, this kit gives you the core items—wax, spray, wipe, and cover—in one order. It saves time compared to buying each item separately.
- You want a cover included: The naugahyde cover is a practical addition that keeps dust, pet hair, and accidental spills off the playing surface when the table isn't in use. Without a cover, you'd need to clean the surface more often. Measure your 22' table to confirm the cover dimensions match before purchasing.
- You don't need scoring equipment: This package does not include a scoring unit, scoreboard, or extra wax varieties. If you want a digital scorer or different wax speeds, you'll need to buy those separately. Consider whether a basic or deluxe scoring system would improve your game experience.
